La Bussola – The star collector, the documentary directed by Andrea Soldani, is the story of Sergio Bernardini, founder of the historic local La Bussola. Inaugurated in 1955 in Le Focette in Versilia, it is the symbol of Italian music of the sixties and seventies. The first to perform on the inauguration day was Renato Carosone. In the following decades, the venue hosted illustrious names of Italian and international music such as Chet Baker, Mina, Ornella Vanoni and Gino Paoli. Bernardini, stubborn and very astute, discovered great Italian talents for which La Bussola became an important launching pad. Let's relive the history of this mythical place and its founder thanks to the stories of great entertainment personalities, archive footage and the words of those who knew him and worked with him during his golden years.
